Introduction

• You play as a Vanguard Explorer, first to enter perilous caves to pave the way for those who come after you.
• Overcome obstacles and discover Unique sites on your expeditions.
• Balance Risk  & Rewards, Manage your Stamina and Equipment to ensure safe and successful campagins.

Gameplay

Headquarters

• Before embarking on each expedition, stock up on equipment in your HQ.
• You also recover to full Stamina every time you return.

Expeditions

• Each turn, you start by allocating Stamina to various preparatory work.
  • SCAN: Reveals Tiles around you,
  • Polish Tools: Increase your efficacy at using tools, crucial when faced with obstacles that require active clearing.
  • Repair Gear: Increase your endurance towards hazardous obstacles.

• When faced with obstacles, you have the option of winging it with your basic tools, or using specialized tools (cards). Using the right cards significantly increases your chance of successfully clearing obstacles.
  • Failure to clear obstacles results in Injury
  • Skillful clears opens up the path permanently.

• Your objective is to find all t he Unique Sights in the cave, and return to HQ safely!

• Remember you can always return to HQ if you are not confident of progressing further safely!
• Running out of Stamina in the Caves means certain death.
